Either go there in person or call. In person would look better.
Dons Alley, i went one time and that was the last time. Food didnt equate to the price.
Yes
I have been coming here for years. It's still just as good as it was back then. Good food and friendly service.
Comfort food at its finest! The food is only surpassed by the service. Consider ordering a pie for your next event from these folks. It will be a hit!
Best Chicken Noodle soup in all of Oklahoma that I have found.
One of the 5 Great Burger Lords of Del City. Everything else there is good but their burgers are bomb(dot)com
Home cooking every thing from chicken fried steaks, stew and cornbread great pies
One of the best restaurants to dine at in del city. Great food and delicious desserts. Friendly staff and easy on the wallet
The food was decent, but nothing special. Service was good and the bathrooms were clean. We will probably be back
Love this place. Great home style food. Well priced. Nice sized portions. Good service also. Will eat lunch here every time I work in the area.
Good place too eat.Great home cooked meals.Comfort foods!!
Oklahoma City classic staple restaurant. Solid food every single time I've been. $8 - $14 per plate. Pies are delicious. They also have one of the best dinner rolls I have had at any restaurant anywhere. Rolls and pies can also be ordered en masse, picked up and served at your family gatherings at home to help you spend a little less time in the kitchen.
Disappointed. Kind of hard to find, but had heard good things about the place. Nice looking building. Clean inside. Wanted to have breakfast, but arrived a little late (breakfast ends at 11). Had the Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and a salad. Salad was excellent, mashed potatoes were good. The Salisbury steak was a grilled hamburger patty with grilled chopped onions and green peppers on top, covered in what seemed to be canned or instant gravy. Plenty of food and came with a nice large hot roll. Second side was pinto beans, which I didn't eat because they tasted like canned pintos. The steak and potatoes were hot, which was good. Some places don't serve the food hot enough. The pie case looked wonderful, but I was too full to try any of what looked to be home made desserts. Don't plan to return.
If you want a true, "home style cooking" restaurant, then look no further. This popular restaurant has been in business for many years due to its excellent food, fantastic service, and very reasonable prices.
Great service and historic atmosphere make this a fun place to be. The menu and food quality need a bit of updating if they want to remain relevant. I'll go back for convenience but I'd love to see this place step up their game on menu and setting.
The stand-alone building is set farther back from the road than the strip malls to either side. Look for the large sign, rather than the building. Don's has a drive-through, carry-out, and dining room. They offer breakfast and lunch/dinner entrees. Home cooked food at decent prices. Great chicken fried steak and amazing dinner rolls. Great selection of pies.
Jumbo burger was thin meat. Just like sonic. But was $ 3 and some change. Overall pretty good service nice people.
Breakfast was nice basic menu. Biscuits were nice and soft. Could have been more gravy provided. Wait staff was great and handled our 30 member party with the other regular business. Fair price as well.
Don's Alley serves up home style foods in a western style family friendly restaurant. Love the chicken and noodles. Great desserts. Popular place for breakfast too. Open Mon thru Sat.
Went to pick up lunch at 11:35 On 1/21/20. Went they the drive thru and the lady taking orders was extremely rude. Didn’t even let me finish putting my order before she disconnected. Food is good but not good enough for me to be putting up with someone’s attitude for no reason. Will never be back.
You know you're in for a traditional meal when you walk inside and 99% of the patrons are senior citizens. This is the first place I've found in the metro that has a pork tenderloin sandwich! They call it a pork cutlet sandwich. And it's PHENOMENAL! Service is kind and quick. It's hard to run out of drinks here, because they're constantly refilling them.
Apparently Fri or Sat is better. I came in on Thurs and did not care for my food. My fries and chicken "basket" of two strips were both undercooked. The best part of meal was the roll. They did remake my fries. Service was fine.
I liked the atmosphere in the restaurant, but the staff was straight faced & didn't talk much. My eggs were undercooked.
Wait staff was great. Breakfast was delicious.
Don's caters to adult taste so you will not find many children in there, even though they do have food children would like. I love the homey atmosphere and the quality of food. Its nicely decorated and you couldnt find nicer wait staff.
I love their tuna salad sandwich and they make the best banana/ strawberry cream pie I've ever had, I could get addicted to it, lucky it's several miles away. I'd have that pie every day. I've eaten many different things there, everything is great
My Western Omelette and potatoes and biscuits and gravy were great!😋
One of the best restaurants in the metro area. I had a bowl of beef stew and a double cheeseburger, both very good. The server was super friendly and nice as well, as usual. They have custard pie, which I live, for dessert
Don's is one of the best kept secrets in Del City offering great freshly prepared "comfort food" such as fried okra, homemade mashed potatoes, fried chicken, pinto and navy beans, and, my favorite: chicken livers! A great place for breakfast and group gatherings too.
The food was amazing and the waitress well she was beautiful, nice kind. everything you're looking for I will definitely recommend this place
Love this place, but I’m aggravated because they haven’t updated their website, it says they are open but they aren’t, I know because I drove quite a distance to pick up take out because their website said they were but they weren’t and I keep calling and no one answers their regular customers deserve better than this
breakfast was sooo goood, and enough for two. biscuits are fresh and taste home made and bacon cooked to perfection.
Great comfort food. Chicken and Noodles is my go to. Pie and Cobbler is hard to resist:)
Great food has been for as long as I can remember
Dare you to eat the whole home cooked dinner, take your pik.
I always love Don's Alley even I don't even even live In Del City now, staff is friendly, food is great, home cooked atmosphere, it's worth the trip, and I love the convenience of drive thru.
Good food and good service. Has the feel of being home.
Don's Alley is always great. Love the hamburgers and onion rings.
The food here is great love the breakfast home fries give me life
Nice place , good atmosphere. Diamond in the rough as far as Del City goes! Clean and good food . It's like log cabin inside , was not expecting that .
Quite possibly the worst patty melt I've had. The same thing with the Reuben that my wife had. No flavor. The good thing about it was the fries and that's all.
Great fried chicken yummy pies. Try it, you'll love it!
I've been eating here since I was a child, early 60s, great food and amazing people. Awesome atmosphere.
Food great! Tables could be cleaner(sticky). Service good, seem to wait to be served, and waited for food to come. However, we were in a large group.
Every thing on the menu is good you can’t make a bad decision
This place is our Saturday morning breakfast place. If you are in a hurry don't go here. They are usually busy on Saturday and service may be slow, but your coffee cup will be kept full. The food is always worth the wait. Love this place!
Love this place and have always had good service and food however it claims to be open and have driven across town just to see they are closed and no one answers the phone and can you guess why? Because they are closed. It would be nice to know if they are ever going to open in the future
Was on my way home and noticed this place actually has a drive-thru so I decided to give it a try. The french fries are really good The bacon cheeseburger was as well and so was the coconut pie So I definitely will be making a return.
Good food and friendly service. We had the Don's breakfast special for $8.49 and it was very good. A generous sized chicken fried steak, two eggs, potatoes, and two biscuits and sausage gravey. The chicken fried steak was great, tender, hot, and tasty. The gravey was really good but the two biscuits were only average and appeared to be frozen biscuits. They call the potatoes hash browns, when they are really just fried potatoes and not the classic hash browns that are grated potatoes. Interesting architecture and lots of unique prints and art work in the back dining area. Massive fireplace in the middle of the restaurant also. Not your average generic building or decor. Waitress was friendly and personable. I'd gladly go back again based on my first experience. A good sign that the food is good and reasonably prices is to view the diners. This place was full of old people, obviously retired. They had their choice and certainly time to go most anywhere, and they chose Don's.
Been coming here since the 60's! Still great food, incredible service and wonderful atmosphere. My girlfriends meet here often for lunch and to reminisce about out 50 years of friendship! Love Don's!
Jerri is amazing! Her customer service skills are top notch! The food is great everything tastes like home.
The atmosphere is quite nice. This is not my first time eating at this restaurant. The meal is quite delicious. You do get your money's worth. Pictured is Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, carrots, dinner roll and salad.
